Helping parents communicate more effectively with their children is the idea behind a revived newsletter being circulated by the Huron County Health Unit.
The "Helpful Information for Parents" newsletter is staging a comeback, this time on-line.
Public Health Nurse Amy Leduc tells Country 104.9 News that the publication aims to help parents deal with a wide range of issues as their children grow and mature.
She points out that the publication deals with the safe and appropriate use of technology by kids, child behaviour and discipline, and time management.
Leduc says because the information is specialized, parents can choose between a newsletter geared to helping kids from kindergarten to Grade 6, while a 7 through 12 publication is on the way.
The updated newsletter is the result of findings from a survey of over 600 Huron County parents conducted by the Health Unit.
